Beep, Beep! Transportation Things!

Last week we did our unit on transportation.  I'll post just a few pics of some of the things we did.  On Friday, we had our annual Transporation Day where we go to stations within the school to learn all about transportaion.  Outside there are TONS of different types of vehicles that the kids can climb on and look in.  Mrs. Lee even got to go up 70 feet in a bucket truck.  Yikes!  What a fun day.  Oh, the best part is we get to see a hot air balloon in person, how big it really is, go inside the balloon and hear some cool facts.










These are our cute little Whamburger's that we made after we read Max Takes the Train from our reading series.  I got this adorable idea from a friend at work.

Here is part of our class alphabet book that we made after reading Alphabeep!
The pictures they drew turned out SO DARN CUTE!  
We used watercolor crayons for the pictures.

    What a great experience for the kids to see many ways of transportation!! Your unit is awesome, like all your others! We did transportation already this year but I'll definetly save these ideas for next year!! Would love a copy!! Thanks for always being so generous with your ideas!! Are you able to put your centers on googledocs??? I know you said you couldn't sell them b/c of the graphics...just asking- so I don't feel so bad about you emailing them all :O) Thanks again!!!
