Hip Hip Hooray, It is the 100th day!

Today was finally our 100th day!  Our "snow week" put us very behind and the kids were so anxious to actually get to 100 on our 100's chart.  So, we had a looooooong day filled with lots of 100 day activities.  Our day was jam-packed because not only was it the 100th day, but Groundhog's Day and we had a 40 minute energy play (that was hilarious).  Luckily, our play time was during p.e. time.  So, here are some pictures of our 100 day fun!

This game we played in math centers this week.

We made 100th day crowns and necklaces with 100 fruit loops!

We worked with a partner to build ice cream scoops counting by 10's

We made a giant pizza with 100 toppings then wrote about it...( of course )

The finished product

And one half of the students made a giant gumball machine with 100 gumballs

The finished product

We made "100 year old people" (idea from www.mrsjumpsclass.com)

Our Fruit Loop necklaces

Unfortunately, we did not have time to predict whether or not the groundhog would see his shadow, but I wanted to show off this adorable graph that another teacher at my school did for Groundhog's Day...(Jamie Chamblee...she is GREAT!)

  4. I love your ice cream scoops to 100 by 10s! What a cute way to get the kids counting with something they love so much! We do ice cream every Friday so this might be a great activity for us to try before or after our ice cream. Thanks for sharing!
